5 Reasons Why You Need Article Marketing

Whether you run an online business or you supplement one in brick-and-mortar with a website, you need to use article marketing. If you aren’t promoting your business with articles, you’re ignoring a powerful, wide-reaching avenue to market your product. Here’s why:

It’s free. If you’ve done your homework you would’ve learned that advertising doesn’t come cheap. Running an ad in the newspapers or magazines can take a big chunk out of your business budget. By spending just a little more time writing and posting several articles each month, you’ll save quite a lot on more conventional advertising. And, article marketing won’t cost you anything but a few hours a week.

It brands your business. Have you ever wondered how some businesses suddenly seem to explode onto the scene, right out of the blue? They made their presence known by freely giving away something of value to their readers (and potential customers). Your articles will bring your business to other people’s attention and help make your brand well-known.

It makes you an expert. When you write about what you know well, bit by bit, with each article, you’ll be seen as an expert in your subject. Do you run a website on e-marketing? Writing and posting well-thought-out, articulate articles on e-marketing will show readers that you know what you’re talking about.

As with anything worthwhile, you have to bear in mind that article marketing isn’t a be-all and end-all solution to promoting your business; it’s one aspect of the entire range. You have to put in real time and concentration on the process too, because you can’t throw out a half-dozen articles in a short time and expect to see immediate results.

Article marketing requires commitment, diligence and patience. You should budget to spend a certain number of hours each week researching, writing, refining and posting articles to promote your business. Keep to this schedule and keep on keeping on. Within a few months (maybe even a few weeks, if you really worked at giving good, valuable content), you’ll start to see your hard work pay off.
